it's time for a Christmas tree

So yesterday was the day that Britton and I decided we were going to go get a Christmas tree. The weather was perfect. Sunny and not too cold. We're living now in American Fork, and just down the road on state street, there's a great little fresh-cut tree lot. We had to wander on down there!

(yours truly)

A good friend and photographer, April Bladh, was kind enough to come along to help document the afternoon. Here's just a sneak peek at what she took. I let her use my Contax to shoot some film... so that will be posted later. But for now, here's a few digital :)

I have a very cute husband, who... like most husbands... hates having his picture taken. I think he did well though.

After a little bit, we found our tree. A quaint little noble fir.

Here's my beautiful little contax <3

  1. Carolee! I don't know if you remember me, but I'm one of Ben Kjar's sisters-in-law...I'm married to Adam :) I saw your link on facebook, and I'm so glad I found your blog! You and hubby are such a darling couple. And i loved experiencing your Christmas tree adventures with you!

PS - those two birthing stories that you caught in those LOVELY photos were both so touching...I got choked up just looking at the first one (the one at the hospital) and then cried when I read about and looked at the first one (with the surrogate mother)...birth is such a beautiful and marvelous thing. And I have to say that you have a talent girl! You captured some moments those famlies will be grateful for forever... we may be calling you next time I have a bun in the oven :)

  2. He is a cute husband. Which is not surprising, you are a cute wife.

fun to get pictures with you in them--usually the photographer never has pix of herself!
