passover and easter

so i briefly mentioned over Easter weekend that my family has the tradition of gathering together to partake of the passover as part of our Easter celebration. it's an excellent reminder of Christ's final week and sacrifice. when he instituted the sacrament he was actually having the passover with his apostles. it was, in essence, his last supper and the symbolism is really incredible. when i was a tiny baby and we were living in germany, my parents had the opportunity to go to jerusalem. while there, my mother picked up a passover plate. it's beautiful. we had it on the center of our table. here's photographic documentation of the wonderful time we had celebrating the sacrifice of Christ and his resurrection.

  1. I've done this a few times before, and it really is a beautiful way to be completely aware of what He went through during those last few days.

    And that plate is gorgeous!

  2. sadly i didn't take too many other photos from this moment... i should've now that i think about it :P but i'll share the others with you sometime. :)
