birthday wishes to an inspiring lady

today is my mom's birthday.

here is a picture of her in the 4th grade. she's pretty cute, don't you think?

the closer i get to becoming a mother myself, the more grateful i am for my mom. i'm happy that she's still around to help me out. i've got so much to learn and honestly, my mother is an excellent source of wisdom. i've always enjoyed her insight and perspective. she's a fun lady. and a good friend.

i think i got lucky when she decided to get pregnant and be my mom. she's always been super selfless. there would be nights growing up that she'd come into my room and just talk to me and listen to all that i had to say. this really helped me as i grew and matured. i'm truly blessed. i hope to be able to be the same kind of mother to my children that she has been to me.

i sure love you mom! here's to you on your birthday.

  1. Yeah, Mom is awesome. I really appreciate all that she has done for me, too. Her openness, love, service, dedication, spirituality, and sincerity have made a significant difference in my life and have provided a priceless gift to me. All of the good things in my life are directly related to what Mom has done for me. And it is great to think about her today on her birthday!

  2. Happy Birthday Mama Coy!! She seems like a wonderful woman...thank goodness for sweet mothers who are great examples for us new mommas :)

And Carolee I got a package in the mail today!!! It was accidentally delivered to my neighbor last week, and I've was out of town since they brought it over this morning...THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! You're SO thoughtful :) Those darling magnets are clinging happily to our new fridge :) I'm excited to pass it on and create some fun things for 5 more people... I love this idea!

Hope you & baby-in-your-belly are doing well :)

  3. Awww she is an amazing woman! Thankful for your mom and her kindness. I can recall many times when she made me feel like family! I still miss her yummy calzones! She rocks! Happy Birthday, Linda!
